- 2nd Ranked Tipster to receive 20%
- 3rd Ranked Tipster to receive 15%
- 4th Ranked Tipster to receive 10%
- 5th Ranked Tipster to receive 5%
PLEASE NOTE: Since the Toto-Calcio website tipping competition is currently conducted as a NOT-FOR-PROFIT website tipping competition and run purely as a form of social entertainment, all money invested by participants registration fees (less any costs and expenses properly incurred in connection with the conduct of the tipping competition) MUST and WILL BE applied towards ALL NOMINATED MONETARY PRIZES. Consequently, the distribution and amount of all the nominated monetary prizes may vary depending on the final number of Tipsters registered into the competition before the beginning of Round 19 Matches.
10. SCORING
a) Each Round consists of a group of thirteen (13) Matches made up of ten (10) Serie A Matches (between 20 Serie A teams) and three (3) Serie B Matches - (which appear in the "green area" at the bottom of the Members` Tips Page) , with one (1) point allocated to each Tipster who manages to forecast the correct outcome out of three possible Results per Match. For each Match Tipsters can choose either a home win, (by selecting "1" in the drop-down boxes provided), an away win, (by selecting "2" in the drop-down boxes provided), or a draw, (by selecting "X" in the drop-down boxes provided). Zero (0) points will be allocated for each incorrect tip / tips.
b) In addition to this, each Tipster can Score two (2) bonus points for selecting the correct final Score at the conclusion of the normal time (90 minutes of play plus any injury time) for the "Game of the Round" which will be nominated by the Administrator. The correct outcome for that game (1, X or 2) is picked automatically depending on the Tipsters final score selections at the conclusion of the normal time (90 minutes of play plus any injury time) for the “Game of the Round.”
For example, if the nominated "Game of the Round" was Milan vs Roma with Milan being the home team and the final Score was 2-1 in favour of Milan, then a Tipster will only receive the three (3) maximum points for that game if he/she manages to pick the correct final score for that Match. In other words, a Tipster will receive two (2) bonus points for picking 2-1 for the correct final Score in the box provided next to the nominated "Pick the Score", with one (1) point automatically received for selecting the home team to win. Thus each Tipster has a possibility of scoring fifteen (15) maximum points per Round.
Tipsters can still receive one (1) point for the "Game of the Round" and not the two (2) bonus points, provided they pick the home team to win by more goals than the away team in the drop down box next to the "Pick the Score".
c) At the end of the competition, the Tipster who manages to accumulate the highest Score after thirty-eight (38) Rounds, will be regarded as the 1st Ranked Tipster and will win the nominated 1st prize. (Refer to item 8a) above).
d) If more than one Tipster finishes the Season with the same highest score, then the 1st prize money will be distributed as follows:
• The Tipster with the most away wins in their total Score will take the prize money allocated.
• If the Results are still equal, then the Tipster with the most draws in their total Score will take the prize money allocated.
• If the Results are still equal, then the Tipster with the most picks for the Pick the Score will take the prize money allocated.
• If the Scores are still equal - (which means that those top ranked Tipsters all finish the season with the same away wins, draws, home wins and picks for the nominated Games of the Round) - then the nominated prize monies (based on the number of Tipsters who finish the competition with the identical Scores) will be added together and divided equally to all those Tipsters.
For example: if Two Tipsters receive identical Scores at the conclussion of Round 38 Matches, then the 1st and 2nd nominated price monies will be added together and divided equally between those two Tipsters.
PLEASE NOTE: This condition applies to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th price monies as per item 8 a) above.
e) If a winning Tipster is unable to accept a prize for whatever reason, the Administrator will award that prize to the Tipster or Tipsters who would have met the entry eligibility criteria and been deemed the place winner or winners had the winning Tipsters not participated in the Competition.
